I am so serious about this Listen series…
There are more coming…this past week has merely been a taste…
I hope you are enjoying them…
Listen to the Wisdom Within…Embrace that Wisdom…and allow yourself to Become…

Trust what you hear…
when it comes from inside your heart…
I love these quick little pieces...
Again, as usual, 7 inch-ish x 9 inch-ish watercolor paper.
Graphite, watercolor and colored pencil, with just a touch of white acrylic here and there…
I actually painted her and finished her while on the phone with my best friend.
How did this week’s prompt inspire you this week?
If you ask for guidance…
…the guidance will come…
Watercolor, acrylic paint and colored pencil on watercolor paper.
Once upon a time (sometime last year, early in the year)…I sketched out this beautiful beautiful face, while listening to Shiloh Sophia on video…I loved her SO much that I used transfer paper and I put that face on a number of substrates, birch wood panels of various sizes, mixed media paper, art journal pages….I loved her so much…that much…I wanted her everywhere all the time…maybe she was my first official series…maybe not…I can’t remember anymore.
So…completed one, which you can find here (scroll down) — she became not only the First Lady (her official title on the back of her substrate), but she also became a She Who Girl…there is another one in an art journal (somewhere I can’t find right now….) … but I did those two–I transferred the image onto a ton of other substrates–and then…I stuck the pieces up and away until later…
Uhm…
Later … a year or more later… I thought, hey, I so want to work on these now…
My work has morphed so much in just the past few months…I honestly looked at the first one I picked up and knew, I hadn’t been ready to really dig in and dive into these pieces last time I had them in my hands…and now…I am so excited to play and explore and just let go…I didn’t have as much of that last year…
So…here is Lady #2 in the Blue Lady Series…
Wow–big reminder that fluorescent paints do not show up via the scanner…the sentiment here on this page is actually a vivid fluorescent pink…but you truly cannot tell by this scan…
The sentiment says: You are enough as you are….
This is a paint over collage…originally she started out as a reference photo…and then…she got wet and her hair bloomed out all over the place…and I liked that almost better than the original…and so…I went with it…
