At some point in the journey, I lost my charcoal pencil and grabbed a slab of charcoal block.  (I have a toddler–apparently at some point he needed a charcoal block and I got the remnants when he was through–or when I caught him…whichever…)

I actually really like the charcoal block.  There is so much less control with this thing.  Things turn out wobbly and wonky and most unlike how I envisioned them…and I really like that part.
