Tarot, Oracle And Other Card Pulls for September

Standard

Please remember, I am offering the names of the cards themselves here and nothing more.

I started this practice, working with these card pulls, using mixed media art, collaging, writing, and any other number of things, but I began by using the images on the cards. One day I wasn’t feeling up to dragging out my deck and finding a specific card, so I simply worked with the name of the card. The words before me.

That was magical…and it allowed things to surface for me to work with that I would not have been able to access because my linear process would have simply taken the path I normally take, rather than allowing me to look into different avenues…and I thought I would share that here with you.

I do give plenty of information so that you can seek out the image of each card, if you so choose.

Without further ado, here are this months’ cards:

Divine And Dirty

Standard

(no affiliate links ever here, just fyi)

So, I am working my way through Alice B Grist’s book called, Dirty & Divine.

Keep in mind, I have only read up to the initial exercises…because I am working through the journey with my deck, The WildWood Tarot.

I don’t really know what I expected from the exercises. I should know better, having watched my own work and gone through the work I have created.

It’s a simple thing, but there is such power in simple.

I have a lot to learn.

Now, for this journey, I put away the guidebook that came with my deck. I have nothing but Alice’s book and my deck…and the case that I keep the cards in.

The Wildwood Tarot is not based upon the Rider-Wait format…and there is so much for me to discover as I work through this deck.

For example, as I am beginning this journey today…my first card, the 0 of the Major Arcana is…The Wanderer….

A young padawan stands on a precipice, a rainbow cast over the fog that lay in the chasm between the seeker and the other side – the other side is full of twisted trees. The forest looks dark, everything growing in on everything else, odd shapes drifting into awareness but never coming fully into focus. Yet, there is a break in the tree tops and the sun shines in. This card begs you—take a leap of faith…and who am I to say no to that?

Tarot, Oracle and Other Card Pulls For The Month Of May

Standard

I do this a little bit differently.

I will give you the name of the card and what deck it is from…but…I will not give you a picture.

The point is not to use these pulls as divinations but as creative prompts.  So, see what is below.  See what speaks to you.  Take it–paint it, write it, bake it, do whatever.

Feel free to share.

At the end of last year, I used ten different card decks to pull cards for every month of this year.  (Yes, there are only nine cards here, because I ended up tossing one deck because the deck and I did not jibe.)

These are the cards I pulled for May:
